I’m gonna be honest, I’m here because your video is the first video linked on Dan’s site, and watching you bypass on and off a plugin at 18% is one of the most annoying things possible. Like can we hear what the dam plugin sounds like? Yes I could hear the difference after I had to go get my mixing headphones and plug them into my iPad but seriously like is it so much to ask when demoing a plugin to atleast crank it up to 100% wet or shxt even 50%.

I know this video is 3 years old now - But hopefully someone will see and answer... In Studio1 - I need to know the difference between what this "Macros" method of Normalization [1] Select all tracks > Macros > Normalize -12db, (or up / down 3 db each) - AND - [2] Select all Tracks > under "Audio" > select "Normalize" (top listed choice) ...it makes a Huge difference! How many db is the 2nd option normalizing? or is it just equalizing all the tracks to a nominal level?? The 1st option appears to only raise each track +1db (for the Normalization -12db choice) ... and then - if I click "Normalize -12db" again - all tracks go up 1 more db??..etc... I think what I need is the 2nd option (Under Audio - click "Normalize" - or "Alt N")... because I can see a visual difference in all the region waveforms (some get bigger, some get smaller), and Hear a difference in the entire mix - (More balanced?)?... Please Help!! I am so confused by this!!!

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the side chain function to work. On kick for example, I've created a key spike track, side chained that to the silencer but whenever I engage the s chain I just get some muffled low end. Same as if I weren't to route the key spike track to the silencer and engage the s chain. Any tips for a studio one user?

On the verse you have to turn up the vocals till you hear every word. Then compare them. Vocals are different. Pink noise one sounded better just not how you did the vocals it’s a trick to the vocals.

Loving Kiive plugins - They have modeled some incredibly difficult units including the Neve MBT which is just an incredible unit for mix bus. I have every CL1B emulation but don't really love any of them. I have a WA1B at home that sounds incredible on vocals, but I am not in the mood to buy 2 for stereo. Can't wait to try this one out and see how it fares against my WA1B.

I appreciate this, but my headphone amp is a Schiit, and the inputs to it are L/R XLR inputs - there is no 1/4" stereo input. I am trying to connect an Arturia Audiofuse 16rig to a Schiit Ragnarok 1, using the 1/4" outputs on the back of the Arturia, and connecting to the back of the Schiit with XLR jacks (the cables are 1/4" to XLR male). I can NOT get this to work, and I'm trying to decide if it's because the cables I bought are balanced TRS - but I don't think that should be a problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - thanks.

just wondering if your able to use direct monitoring?? why would use presonus interface with tb3 and the round trip latency. will never buy interface again.. with round trip higher than 1ms.. never getting motu TB2 anything again 1.67ms. not good enough for me.. thing died on me anyway never worked right
